Davina Super Body Workout was inspired by Big Brother hostess Davina McCall's trainer, an ex-Marine, and incorporates elements of military fitness regimes--a real challenge. You'll need to have a pretty good baseline level of fitness to keep up with this one, definitely one of the more advanced programmes out there. However, we applaud that there is a low impact, easier version of the tough moves for beginners, in case you're not quite at that level of fitness.
Despite the intense, military-style workout, Davina is her usual effervescent self, so it's fun to watch (you'll need the encouragement and distraction from the pain!). Some users noted that on her early DVD's Davina chatted a bit too much, but the consensus seems to be she has it at just the right level for this one.
Davina recommends you do the workout three days a week (so you can rest a day in-between to recover--because your bum and legs will be sore the next day), and the mix-and-match nature of the workouts means you shouldn't get bored.
Content: Davina's Super Body Workout includes two central 40-minute fat-burning workouts, which each include warm up and cool down exercises.
The first workout, Super Sculpt aims to tone the entire body with intervals. The second workout Super Fit, uses aerobic kickboxing to bolster overall fitness and fat burning. There are even four more 10 minute routines to add to the basic workouts, focusing on specific areas like legs and bum, upper body, abs, and six pack.
We counted 120 minutes of workout packed onto this DVD (and essentially 6 40-50 minute workout variations), one of the most we've seen one one disc, so it's also great value with plenty of variety.
Prices: The DVD retails for £19.99, but you can get it much cheaper on Amazon for around £12.98 ( a great value if you consider how many workouts are on it).
